傳奇球星「俠客」Shaquille O’Neal在洛杉磯湖人笑捧3座總冠軍，後來在邁阿密熱火也曾奪冠，不過28日他語出驚人，承認當初應該留在奧蘭多魔術。
O’Neal是1992年魔術選秀狀元，剛出道就以魁梧身材、勁爆體能、靈活球技震撼聯盟，菜鳥球季就有23.4分、13.9籃板、3.5阻攻的恐怖成績。
儘管生涯第3年就闖進總冠軍戰，1996年東區決賽遭芝加哥公牛橫掃後，O’Neal毅然決然投奔湖人，開啟21世紀的「紫金王朝」。
雖然遭到背叛，魔術球團依然視O’Neal為己出，將他列入球隊名人堂，今天他受訪時感慨萬千，俠客坦言：「這確實有點出乎預料，我們曾經贏得比賽，但後來我做了一個商業上的決定。」
「這從來就不是我一個人的事情，老闆也能了解。」O’Neal表示：「這真的不是我不在乎大家會不會難過的問題，這就是商場，這全都是商業行為。」
「我會遺憾嗎？我從來沒有完整地回答這個問題。」O’Neal說：「有時候會覺得遺憾，我該待在最一開始的球隊嗎？我真的希望聯盟能制定一條規則，讓球員能永遠留在選秀時挑中你的球隊。」
O’Neal進入魔術的第2年，球隊千方百計挖來超級新人「一分錢」Penny Hardaway，陣中還有Nick Anderson、Scott Skiles等出色球員，現在回過頭看，「大歐」難免多想。
「這就是我感到遺憾的地方，我們當時擁有一支年輕又出色的球隊，最後大家各奔東西，真的很可惜。」O’Neal說。
「我試著別讓『如果』、『或許』出現在我的生命中，但關於1996年我離開魔術這件事，我確實覺得很可惜。」O’Neal說。
過去讓它過去，歷史依然存在，曾經帶給奧蘭多無限美好夢想的O’Neal，如今成為第3位魔術名人堂，前兩名是Anderson與共同創隊人Pat Williams。
